Oakwood Elementay School  - After School Lacrosse Program (April 1 - May 20th)
--- The Glendale Lacrosse League is coming to Oakwood Elementary School beginning April 1st, 2008 for 7 weeks of after school lacrosse. All practices and games will be at the school (71st and Sweetwater, Peoria AZ). No experiance necessary but you must be a student of Oakwood, in grade 5th through 8th to participate.

Equipment rentals are available for $50, or purchase $220. Equipment required to play includes a lacrosse helmet, gloves, arm pads and shoulder pads.

Nick Huertas Goalie Camp (May 19, 20 & 21)
--- Nick Huertas–Starting Goalie 2008 Spanish National Team, Syracuse University, 3 year Varsity Half Hollow Hills West, Long Island NY is coming to Phoenix for a comprehensive three day goalie camp at Grand Canyon University. Some of the many drills and topics covered include; Evaluations-Stance-Footwork-Hips-Hands-Goalie Wars-Turn Arounds-Reaction Time, Clearing, Footwork and Film Session.

• Who-Open to all players from U12 to U19
• Where–Grand Canyon University, 3300 Camelback Rd, Phoenix AZ
• When–May 19, 20 & 21. 5 PM –8 PM each night
• Cost-$175

Individual Training - Manny Rapkin

Manny Rapkin, Head Coach 2008 Spanish National Team, Asst Coach Dominican University, NY (NCAA DII), former coach Desert Mountain, Scottsdale AZ is offering personal lacrosse training for those looking to elevate their game. Coach Rapkin cuts through the basics to teach what it takes to the best lacrosse player you can be. Lessons are by reservation only throughout the month of May and possibly extending into June. Park City Shootout - U15 Tournament - Invitation Only (June 12-14) --- We will be taking 20 players to the Park City Tournament in Utah. Selected players will be hearing from us very soon. Glendale Parks and Recreation Summer Lacrosse Camp (June 9-June 25)
--- Glendale Parks and Recreation will hold it's 4th annual lacrosse camp beginning June 9th and extending through June 25th, every Monday and Wednesday from 8-10 AM at Bonsall Park Hockey Rink in Glendale AZ. The Glendale Lacrosse League will administer the camp as we have since it's 2005 inception.

The camp is a low cost introduction to lacrosse. It is only $35 for Glendale residents, and $42 for non-residents. It is open to boys and girls ages 6-17. The camp is designed to provide an environment of fun and learning to the beginning and developing lacrosse player. The camp’s objective is to teach the techniques and tactics of lacrosse in a healthy and positive environment, while emphasizing the fundamentals of the game. Most importantly, we will insure that each player has an enjoyable learning experience and leaves camp with an appreciation for the game.

Box Lacrosse Camp (June 25, 26 & 27) --- Box lacrosse remains the most popular program offered in Glendale. This is due to it's non-stop action, quick passing and fast scoring - everybody is involved all of the time!. The camp will focus on preparation / conditioning / drills and scrimmages prior to the box lacrosse season. Expect guest instructors like Andrew Sloan from Fitlife, Adam Marshall from Grand Canyon University, and others. The camp runs 5-8 PM each night at Castle Sports Club, Phoenix AZ. Box Lacrosse League (June 28 - Aug 16) --- Entering our 7th season of Box Lacrosse - this one should be the best ever. We will be indoors at Castle Sports Club in Phoenix. Divisions include U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 (on or before Dec 31st, 2007). All players receive a league jersey, structured practices, and complete games with officials. Cost is $155. hey do you guys know how to string your own sticks? because coach isnt always gunna be there when your stick breaks in a tournament or somthing. like in utah if your stick breaks you should just come prepared to string it yourself. Because coach will be busy for some of the time.
